Senator Antonio Trillanes IV palagay ni President Rodrigo Duterte ay nais na idedeklara martial law upang ihanda ang daan para sa isang rebolusyonaryong pamahalaan.

"Sundalo ay dapat ring magsimula sinusuri ang kanilang constitutional mandate," Trillanes, vocal na kritiko ni Duterte, sinabi sa isang pahayag at may kaugnayan sa pahayag ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ni upang kaniyang maipahayag martial law upang mapanatili ang bansa kung sitwasyon sa ilegal na droga ay nagiging 'lason'.
